The GRE is increasingly accepted by business schools as an alternative to the GMAT.  Its greater emphasis on English language verbal skills and somewhat less challenging quantitative sections should make it generally a better option for Jamaicans than the GMAT. Indeed, the GMAT’s strong emphasis on concision and clean syntax runs contrary to the circumlocutions (GRE word) often rewarded in Jamaica’s schools.
