The core curriculum runs for six weeks and is intended to cover content that might have been overlooked or forgotten in the standard GSAT and CXC curricula.  It also gives an introduction to ‘testwiseness’—the test-taking skills and mindsets needed for improved scores. This curriculum includes:

• 1 standard diagnostic exam
• 1 Top Score diagnostic to identify areas for additional focus
• Counselling sessions to ensure that students have chosen the right exam and are working towards scores appropriate for their target school
• Core 1: Arguments and Reading Comprehension
• Core 2: Mathematics
• Core 3:  Grammar & Usage, and Essay writing

At the end of the core curriculum, students should have developed the correct mindset for maximizing scores, be test-wise, and have refreshed their recollection of material they may have swotted for GSAT and CXC.
