There are two options for taking the Graduate Record Examination Revised General Test (for admission to most reputable graduate programs in the United States).
- The Computer-based test (CBT). The CBT is section-adaptive. This means that the second verbal and second quantitative sections that you see will be determined by your performance on the first iteration of these sections. If you are doing well, you should expect to see more challenging questions in the second section. Similarly, if you are doing poorly you should expect to see less challenging questions on the second iteration. This is intended to more accurately gauge your abilities than a more static test would. This option is not available in Jamaica. To avail yourself of this option you must either register to take the test abroad—in the United States or in some other country where the test is available.

Registration for the October sitting is expected to close in late August, scores will be available online about 30 days later and by mail a further two weeks later. Top Score Jamaica’s GRE coaching program will prepare you for the October sitting of the exam.
